In Singapore, there are about 30 new bills passed by the government every year. This only makes any legal dispute more complex which accounts for even higher legal costs in the future.
With rising legal costs in Singapore, the trend is now changing with more people representing themselves in simple matters before the court.
The Singapore legal system has also been rapidly changing to accommodate companies who can now represent themselves even in High Court cases by obtaining leave of court under Order 1 rule 9(2) of the Rules of Court.
A formal course in law is therefore essential for every manager, executive and business owner.
