This degree is recommended if you:
- Have a good grounding in mathematics.
- Like to develop a deep understanding of how money drives and affects economies of the world.
- Wish to develop analytical tools from the fields of mathematics, statistics, economics and econometrics,
together with institutional knowledge required to work as a financial economist.
Programme Structure
The degree consists of 12 units when taken through the Standard Route and 9 units through the Graduate EntryRoute.
What are my career options?
This degree prepares you for a career as a financial economist in government or finance including, investment or commercial banking, risk management, research, fund management or securities trading. It is also suitable for careers in business consultancy, general management or accountancy. The degree also provides a sound basis for further studies in the fields of economics, finance or business.
