This degree is recommended if you:
• Have the minimum requisite academic qualifications of 2 'A' levels + 3 'O' levels or equivalent
Already hold a first degree or other relevant qualifications
• Wish to gain some knowledge and expertise in the Common Law of England and Wales
Programme Structure
The diploma consists of 4 units and is taken over one year. The course consists of four law undergraduate subjects, only one of which is compulsory. You will then be free to choose three further options that are relevant to your interests.
Please note that some subjects have co/prerequisite. This means that if you wish to study one of those subjects you must have taken or be taking the co/prerequisite subject. For example, if you wished to study Commercial Law you will need to have studied/be studying Elements of the Law of Contract.
The Diploma in the Common Law is a qualification in its own right, designed to offer flexibility of subject choicefor students who are eligible for the admission to the LLB but who do not necessarily wish to register for thefull degree.
