Programme Objectives:
The programme aims to develop a comprehensive
understanding of specific engineering
procedures in the field of automotive
development and production and to initiate
the students into the process of solving
automotive specific and engineering
problems.
The programme also aims to offer comprehensive
knowledge of methods and techniques applied
in all phases of the life cycle of modern
automobiles. The programme concentrates on
aspects of development and production.
Graduates of the programme will be able to
quickly assume technical as well as
personnel responsibility

Advanced Standing:
Advanced entry into the Master program may
be given on the basis of significant
industry experience and relevant
undergraduate engineering qualifications.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and
credit transfer are ways that RMIT
recognises applicants’ skills and knowledge
gained through formal and informal education
and training, work experience, and/or life
experience (including volunteer work;
committee responsibilities; family duties,
hobbies).
Program Structure:
Engineering Graduates with relevant undergraduate degree may apply for direct entry to the Master of Engineering
(International Automotive Engineering) programme. Other qualifications from related fields with work experience
will be subject to acceptance by RMIT University.
The programme will be conducted by RMIT
academic staff members in Singapore through
intensive workshops over weekends and/or
week day evenings. The course structure is
shown below. The entire course can be
completed in 3 terms and in a minimum
duration of 1 year. All the students
enrolled in the programme need to attend a 1
week residential visit to RMIT University
Bundoora East Campus in Melbourne to
complete Laboratory work related to the
programme.
